Wrong Spawn Point

A 1:148 scale castle diorama inspired by the game "Chivalry 2", capturing the moment a few unlucky blue team knights appear in entirely the wrong place. Built using card kits, die-cast and 3D-printed figures, and hand-sculpted terrain.

This is the first in a planned set of three dioramas based on first-person shooters, all designed to fill the shelves of an antique cabinet I inherited. It seemed like a good place for something slightly chaotic.

The scene is a 1:148 scale castle inspired by "Chivalry 2", showing a fairly one-sided situation. The red team has the place well under control, walls lined with defenders, a trebuchet in position - while a handful of blue knights have managed to wander into entirely the wrong castle. Not so much a battle as a mistake.

I wanted to include some of the slightly ridiculous details that make those games what they are, so alongside the more serious siege elements you’ll find things like throwable fruit, lightly armoured (or not particularly armoured) fighters, and, of course, a burning chicken. It felt necessary.

The build itself uses card castle kits intended for N gauge railways, combined with die-cast and 3D-printed figures, all set onto sculpted terrain with modroc, flocking, and a lot of foliage. Like the others, it’s packed with small details... some obvious, some less so... so it hopefully rewards a closer look.
